A letter from the artist.
I paint the moments I can't stop thinking about. Not because they're grand or rare, but because they're not. The flowers I grew coming to the end of their season, the dapples of light in the late afternoon, the feeling of a first spring somewhere new. My work lives in those moments and those feelings, where impressionism has always made its home.
I work in oils from my studio in Emu Park, with the conviction that ordinary, beautiful things deserve to be painted slowly, and the stories they hold deserve to be told.
